On January 7th, 2025 Los Angeles County was hit with highly-destructive wildfires including the Palisades and Eaton Fire. The fires were sparked by a strong wind event that swept through the area with 90 mph gusts.  The Eaton Fire killed at least 17 people and destroyed more than 9,000 buildings, becoming the fifth deadliest and the second most destructive wildfire in California.

Eaton Fire Hits Close to Home

Sunrise Integration calls Pasadena home and the Eaton Fire was in the direct path of our offices and team member homes. Many individuals on our team were forced to evacuate and flee the oncoming fires. We were fortunate that no direct damage affected our team, however our beloved community was hit hard with staggering losses. While we are back to work, many others were not so lucky. Sunrise Integration is committed to helping Pasadena and Altadena rebuild.

Donating to the Pasadena Community Foundation

Sunrise Integration is proud to support the rebuilding efforts of our local community. On February 4th, we provided a monetary donation to the Pasadena Community Foundation which serves the communities of Altadena, Pasadena, and Sierra Madre. The Eaton Fire Fund helps fund 38 nonprofits in Altadena and Pasadena. Sunrise Integration is happy to be part of the generous donors who are supporting our local city.

As of February 14, 2025, the Foundation has raised more than $14 million from foundations, corporations, and upwards of 5,000 generous donors. The fund is focused on providing mid-term relief support that provides temporary housing, childcare, mental health, and more. The donations help the fund work directly with the community to support the rebuilding process.

The Eaton Fire Relief and Recovery Fund will provide resources to trusted community-based nonprofit agencies in support of families and individuals directly impacted by the Eaton Fire in the moment of the catastrophe and in its aftermath.
